Textual Relationships in Jude

John Griffith, following methods used for numerical taxonomy in biology, went one step further than Colwell and Tune by arranging the manuscripts used for his study on a descending scale of relationships, those with the closest agreement coming at the beginning and those with the least agreement from these coming at the end. This arrangement was obtained "by inference from inspection of the figures, combined with a degree of trial and error". This chapter takes the sum of the percentage of agreements of one manuscript with the rest, and then arranges the manuscripts by placing the one with the highest sum of percentage of agreements at the beginning, followed by the one with the next highest sum and on down the line. It is also intended to test the classification which von Soden has given to these manuscripts. Keywords: E.C. Colwell; E.C. Tune; New Testament Manuscripts; von Soden
