Web-based network management system implemented using Hibernate, JBoss and spring framework

Due to the intricacies involved in the large scale networks, it has become an evident need to determine an efficient way of monitoring the network so that the performance related concerns of devices held within the network are never compromised. This paper introduces a web-based network management system wherein J2EE platform forms the basis of implementation. Proposed architecture includes the technical environment of various Web technologies [1] such Java [2], JSP(Java Server Pages), CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), HTML (HyperText Markup Language), Web Services, Ajax, Spring 4.x, Hibernate3.x, JBoss8 (IDE and application server) and Oracle 11g. It incorporates front end server, back end web services and database server. Consequently, the system exhibits the benefits of the mentioned technologies and provides more convenient, simple and secure NMS.
