Synchronization maintenance strategy analysis of engine cylinder body production line

The equipment maintenance records on a production line of auto-engine-cylinder-body during the past three years were analyzed by statistical algorithm in order to study the feasibility of synchronization maintenance.Some key maintain-needed equipments were defined based on the number of failures,maintenance time,down time,and the ratio of down time to maintenance time.Three equipments with similar reliability characteristic value in the same production line were studied based on the maintenance cost of synchronization and breakdown by using Monte Carlo simulation method.The simulation results showed that the average expense of synchronization maintenance was 84.2% of the average expense of breakdown maintenance.
