A STATISTICAL APPROACH TO THE PROBLEM OF FRESCOS: THE FRENCH EXPERIENCE

Multivariate descriptive and exploratory statistical analysis is used to determine the causes of alteration on experimental walls painted by specialists. The graphical results give meaningful indications about painting techniques and characterization of the alterations.
