Online Chinese Character Recognition Based on Force Vector

Force sensitive tablet (F-Tablet) is a novel handwriting input device, it can capture two dimension torque and three dimension force information directly. With the force and torque information, handwriting recognition and signature verification will be more efficient. This paper discusses a handwriting recognition process which firstly utilizes the novel force data to extract strokes of Chinese characters and then builds HMM to recognize each stroke. So the basic notion is stroke-HMM which is widely used in the online Chinese character recognition (OCCR). To recognize the whole character, the Chinese Character library based on strokes is built. Hence, once the strokes of a character is given, the character could be found quickly throughout the library. At the same time, some experiment result is given either
