An Update on Use of Unstable Non-Foster Networks in Metamaterial-inspired EM Structures

This paper reviews potential applications of unstable non-Foster elements in metamaterial-inspired electromagnetic structures, recently proposed by University of Zagreb Group. The pros and contras of perfectly-matched self-oscillating small antennas and metasurfaces as well as the self-oscillating non-Foster wireless power systems have been compared to traditional designs. Finally, the investigation of all three potential applications is updated with the most recent numerical and experimental results.
