Experiences with on-line diagnostics for power and instrument transformers

This paper discusses the general tools available for power transformer and instrument transformer life assessment and describes specific applications of diagnostic method synergy (DMS) for transformer insulation: online PD location; gas-in-oil analysis; infrared techniques.
