Assessment of Polarimetric Contrast Optimization Techniques for Completely Polarized Waves

Kostinski and Boerner [l] have developed a technique for optimization of contrast between two scatterers fully characterized by their 2x2 complex scatterin matrices. In this paper, we propose three variant metho B s for contrast optimization between target and clutter for SAR images in the scatterin matrix format. The four approaches are evaluated on tie NASA/JPL high resolution one look complex SAR data format images of the MAESTRO-1 1989 campaign.
