THE value of Dr. McLachlan's book to engineer users of Bessel functions will depend on the kind of engineer who refers to it. Probably the electrical or acoustical engineer will be well pleased and all other kinds relatively disappointed. The preface makes the contents quite clear, but had the book been called “Bessel Functions for Wireless Engineers” a more correct impression of its contents would have been given.Bessel Functions for Engineers.By Dr. N.
