Matched Filtering and Orthogonal Matching Pursuit for Terahertz Coded-Aperture Imaging

Terahertz coded-aperture imaging (TCAI) adopts re coded-aperture to produce spatiotemporal independent signals, in which way TCAI can achieve high-resolution, forward-looking and staring imaging. However, it is difficult to reconstruct the sparsity-driven target while the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is too low, which makes the back-signal vector and reference-signal matrix cannot match each other. Therefore, matching filtering and orthogonal matching pursuit (MF -OMP) approach is proposed. First, the range profile is obtained by mathed-filtering pulse compression, and the range cells containing the scatterers are extracted to formulate the dictionary. Then, the azimuth and pitching reconstructions are processed by OMP. The proposed approach can enhance the SNR. The effectiveness of the MF-OMP is verified by numerous simulations.
