Summary Leaves of aspen were treated with silica gel of various particle sizes. During the daytime, a slight reduction of stomatal diffusive resistance was observed with particle sizes of 5 and 15 µm. During the night the diffusive resistance was significantly lower with a particle size of 5 µm.
