Wireless Heart Rate Monitoring System of RSS-based Positioning in GSM

Due to the uncertainty of patient’s location, the outbreak of cardiovascular disease (CVD) will result in unnecessary delays for rescue. We present an encouraging system that works in real time to monitor the heart rate data. The location of mobile terminal (MT) can be obtained with lower cost based on RSS positioning approach in GSM. According to definite priority, location information, together with heart rate data is sent to the monitoring center. As the cardio tachometer, small and suitable to be worn, is wirelessly connected to the MT in the proposal. It offers convenience to users if they go outside. Implemented by auto-reminding and cooperating with emergency center, the system can save valuable time to rescue patients.
