Method for transmitting measurement report message in universal mobile telecommunication systems

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a measurement report message in an asynchronous mode mobile communication system is provided to effectively transmit a measurement report message by giving priority to a measurement report message for an event having a large amount of measurement. CONSTITUTION: An SRNC(Serving Radio Network Controller)-RRC(30) transmits 'MEASUREMENT CONTROL' message to a UE-RRC(20) so as for a UE(User Equipment) to measure a radio resource(200). The UE-RRC(20) transmits 'CPHY_Measurement-REQ' message to a UE-L1(26)(202). The UE-L1(26) measures a radio resource periodically(204,208) and transmits 'CPHY_Measurement-IND' message to the UE-RRC(20)(206,210). If a plurality of measurement results satisfy a report criteria, the UE-RRC(20) transmits 'MEASUREMENT REPORT' message related to an event 3x of an inter-RAT measurement type having the highest priority to the SRNC-RRC(30)(214). The UE-RRC(20) transmits 'MEASUREMENT REPORT' message related to an event 2x of an inter-frequency measurement type having the next highest priority to the SRNC-RRC(30)(216). The UE-RRC(20) transmits 'MEASUREMENT REPORT' message to the SRNC-RRC(30) related to an event 1x of an intra-frequency measurement type having the lowest priority(218).
