Low molecular-weight organic compounds that readily form stable amorphous glasses, which we refer to as amorphous molecular materials, constitute a novel family of organic functional materials with excellent processability, transparency, and isotropic and homogeneous properties. We have reported several novel families of photoand electroactive amorphous molecular materials, which include 4,4‘,4”-tris(dipheny1amino)triphenylamine (TDATA) and its derivatives,[’41 1,3,5-tris(diphenylamino)benzene (TDAB) and its derivative^,[^-^] and 1,3,S-tris(4-diphenylaminopheny1)benzene (TDAPB) and its derivatives.[’’] Some of them are found to function as excellent materials for use in organic electroluminescent device^.[^^""^^ In the present study, we synthesized novel organic nconjugated systems containing an oligothiophene moiety (see Scheme l ) , 5-{4-[bis(4-methylphenyl)amino]phenyl)-
