Finite Element Analysis and Experimental Study on Dynamic Characteristics of Bridge Structures

Natural frequencies and mode shapes, the invariable modal parameters reflecting the whole properties of a structure, can be used to evaluate the whole properties of the bridge. In this paper, a 3-dimension finite element model for a continuous rigid frame bridge is established in detail and model analysis is carried out with ANSYS. The dynamic characteristics of the bridge are calculated by use of subspace iteration method. Compared with free vibration and ambient vibration test data, the validity of the calculating method is validated and satisfactory results are obtained.
