Power electronic converter for the reluctance pump drive

In a standard application of hydrostatic drive unit, drive and pump are interconnected as a separate components. Nowadays, the trend towards miniaturization and integration of drives can be observed. The example of such integration is the drive system where the components of the hydraulic pump and electric drive are functionally integrated. The drive consists of specially designed switched reluctance machine integrated with the external gear pump and a proper power converter along with its unique control scheme. The paper focuses on the power electronics converter along with its control and describes the concept of the ldquoreluctance pumprdquo. Control scheme of the drive is realized on the TMS320F2812 DSP from Texas Instruments.
