Notice of RetractionCompetitive analysis of price uncertainty inventory problem

In this paper, we consider the inventory problem in which decisions on purchasing time and quantity should be made by an online player without knowledge of future price of finished goods. The problem is studied from the perspective of competitive analysis. The competitive ratio of an online strategy relative to a given input instance is the ratio of the strategy's performance to the offline optimal. Under the online algorithm approach, we formulate two models and dprice-threat-based algorithm is established. Following that, numerical examples concerning competitive analysis for the algorithms are given. Finally, some future research directions are pointed out.
