A MIMO zero forcing receiver with interference cancellation for BICM

In this paper, we propose a soft interference cancellation (SIC) based log-likelihood receiver for multiple-input multiple-output BICM systems. The technique is based on a zero forcing receiver with successive elimination of highly reliable components using soft estimates and a compensation term to limit the error propagation due to incorrect decisions. The implementation has a lower complexity than traditional zero forcing receivers and eliminates the problem of noise enhancement.
