Multi-way semi-blind AF relaying networks over Rayleigh fading channels

Abstract In this paper, we investigate multi-way semi-blind amplify-and-forward (MWSB-AF) relaying networks over Rayleigh fading channels. We provide closed-form expressions for bounds of some metrics such as average symbol error probability (SEP) and outage probability. The global outage event occurs when at least one channel goes into outage. The main requirement of the proposed (MWSB-AF) relaying is the availability of statistical channel state information (CSI) which leads to a low treatment complexity at the intermediate node. However, multi-way CSI-assisted AF (MWCSIA-AF) relaying leads to a highly complex processing at the cooperative node by requiring instantaneous CSI of the first link and provides a relatively identical performance as MWSB-AF relaying. In order to justify the exactness of our proposed analysis, numerical and simulation results are presented and a comparison with MWCSIA-AF relaying networks is introduced.
