Unterhaltung online – Motive, Erleben, Effekte

Jenseits von Internet-Radio und Web-TV, die ahnlich erlebt werden wie die Unterhaltungsangebote in den klassischen Medien, gibt es im Internet hochst partizipative und interaktive Angebote. Unterhaltung online ist ein ‚Spezialfall’ der Unterhaltungsforschung. User – so zeigen die Studien der letzten zehn Jahre – unterhalten sich online anders als mit klassischen Medien, weil sie selbst unterhaltenden Content produzieren und weil sie mit anderen Personen in Kontakt treten. Einleitend wird im ersten Abschnitt eine Abgrenzung von Unterhaltung mit Online-Medien und mit klassischen Medien diskutiert. ‚Klassische’ Unterhaltungstheorien werden skizziert und ihre Ubertragbarkeit auf Online- Medien problematisiert. Der zweite Abschnitt bietet eine Aufstellung der unterhaltenden und von Usern als unterhaltsam erlebten Online-Medien. Im dritten Abschnitt des Kapitels werden der interaktive und interpersonale Aspekt des Unterhaltungserlebens fokussiert und die spezifischen Motive der Unterhaltungsnutzung im Internet dargestellt. Abschliesend werden im vierten Abschnitt zukunftige Forschungsfragen und Perspektiven der Unterhaltung im Netz formuliert.
