Experimental Batch Plant - CS1 Using Timed Automata and UPPAAL

In this report we present the modelling of the experimental batch plant of case study 1 using timed automata. Requirements of safety and bounded liveness (eeciency requirements) are given as reachabil-ity properties and the model checker UPPAAL is applied to perform veriication. 1 The Model 1.1 Timed automata and UPPAAL We describe the experimental batch plant as a parallel composition of timed automata. In UPPAAL a timed automaton is a nite state machine extended with clocks, integer variables and synchronization labels. The synchronization mechanism is that of binary handshake between two automata.
