A Zone-based Dynamic Queueing Model and Maximum-stability Dispatch Policy for Shared Autonomous Vehicles

Shared autonomous vehicle services (SAVs) is a fleet of the autonomous taxi that provide point-to-point transportation services for travelers, which may reshape the transportation market. However, the number of waiting passengers could become arbitrarily large when the feet size is too small for travel demand, which causes an unstable network. This study designs a dynamic queuing model for waiting passengers and provides a maximum stability dispatch policy for SAVs which can stabilize the network when the average waiting passenger is bounded in expectation.
