Real-time ice monitoring on overhead power transmission lines with FBG sensor

It causes a lot of accidents and influences power system security during the ice disaster, but there are rare effective real-time monitoring techniques of ice on transmission lines reported. To solve this problem, a calculate model based on Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) strain sensor and temperature sensor is proposed, and the model is illuminated available by computer simulation.
