Radial multi-slit coding for x-ray imaging of laser microplasmas

Abstract A coded aperture imaging method is presented. It is intended for the study of X-rays emitted by laser-produced microplasmas. The code, composed of a large number of radial slits in different directions, enables projections of the emission distribution along these directions. Reconstruction is based on axial tomography formalism. This results in much simpler computer processing than general coded aperture imaging processing.
