XML based Modelling of Soft Computing Methods

This paper proposes a document-oriented modelling concept for Soft Computing Methods. This modelling concept realizes domain-specific modelling languages derived from XML (Extensible Markup Language). XML is in general considered as the future for internet documents and data exchange. The main concept behind XML is to separate the content of a document from its layout (its appearance). The presented modelling concept uses a document for describing Soft Computing models. Like the content of a document is separated from its layout, the abstract Soft Computing model is separated from a concrete implementation and programming language. The paper presents a way in which modelling concepts for Soft Computing methods can be realized as domain-specific languages based on XML notation. The abstract Soft Computing models can be interpreted or translated by software generators into ready to use source-code (covering the adequate Soft-Computing-functionality) as well as for documentation and exchange of the realized Soft Computing model.
