In each case, big media has been left reaching for the pink stuff to relieve its heartburn. Somebody owes Drudge a big apology. No, make that a lot of somebodies. For more than a year, old-line media used Drudge as their personal whipping post. The more drubbings Drudge’s brand of journalism took from the august gatekeepers of American journalism, the more puffed up they became. But oh how the mighty have fallen ... on their swords in many cases. But life has a funny way of evening the score. In the last several months, mainstream journalism has suffered a run of embarrassing disclosures that make Drudge’s online reporting look like it’s Pulitzer-Prize caliber. Actually, mainstream journalism should have seen its recent black eye coming. The entire news
