The qualifications of a modern biomedical engineer

T hese days when biomedical engineers are required to have considerable breadth of talent and creativity in whatever area they are working, it is difficult to compose a list of qualifications and skills that they should have. But the problem of skill identification is not new. In 1726, Jacob Leuopold, maker of mechanical theaters, identified the skills that a mechanic should have to make such theaters.
