Analysis of MPLS-compliant Nodes Deploying Multiple LSPs Routing

In this paper we develop a packet-level model for performance analysis of a MPLScompliant node performing multipath routing with load balancing. We capture the most essential properties of the phenomena by using the extended MMCPP/GE/m/K queue and by introducing some new disciplines associated with the multipath routing paradigm. Moreover, we derive important performance indices as baselines for the evaluation of the considered scheme. Using the developed model, numerical demonstrations are also achieved pointing out the benefits of the applied multiple LSPs routing scheme.
