For suitable design and energy estimation of GHX(Ground Heat Exchanger), ground thermal storage effect and heat interference should be analysed. Conventional theories for the analysis of GHX use either an analytical method or a numerical analysis method. Analytical models are inadequate for dynamic analysis, as it is regardless of heat transfer between the two pipes located in the borehole or the thermal effect of the borehole. In contrast, numerical analysis can provide a more accurate dynamic thermal analysis of GHX, but is very time-consuming. In this paper, 3-dimensional calculation model suggested that not only analyses the short-circuiting effects but can also reduce analysis time by using the square GHX zonal model.
