Field Application of Minifracture Analysis To Improve Fracturing Treatment Design

This paper presents a comparison of different minifracture analysis techniques, correction of field data to incorporate the effects of temperature and fluid compressibility, determination of closure pressure from various methods to perform the minifracture analysis accurately, field application of minifracture analysis to improve design fracturing treatment, and case histories of full-scale fracturing treatments designed with the parameters obtained from minifracture analysis.
