Current Situation of Sports Dance Course in Chinese General Colleges

Through questionnaire and interview to students,teachers and leaders,this paper studies the current situation of sports dance course held in general colleges,and gets results as followed:1) Sport dance has strong attraction to students and teachers for its integration of sport exercise,communication skills and manners.2) For its complex techniques and multiple species,sport dance teaching can't meet students' need.3) Other than a few specialists teaching sports dance, teachers who are engaged in the course are mostly specialized in gymnastics,especially art gymnastics.4) No uniform teaching materials of sports dance course are used in current teaching.5) lack of facility,teaching faculty,teaching hours, fields and other factors prevents students further development in sports dance.
