Sea target detection using passive DVB-T based radar

This paper presents a new approach to passively detect targets using noise-like emitters of opportunity. This method combines Wiener filtering to improve clutter rejection and an adapted direct data domain (D3) method. This theoretical approach is confirmed by the detection of a boat by a bistatic radar using a digital video broadcasting terrestrial (DVB-T) transmitter.
