Application of Voronoi diagrams and multiangle measurable image in the urban POI location and site generation

Points of interest (POIs), are self-defined components in the urban operational management systems. They are set to locate the important urban infrastructures accurately. This paper obtained the theoretical coordinates of the new added POIs based on minisum model from Voronoi diagram. Those POIs were regarded as a reference for mobile mapping systems (MMS) to locating the position and searching the nearest landmarks or entities with significant meanings in a given diameter, thus approaching the purpose of updating the POIs rapidly. This method improved urban managers' real-time and efficiency to a great degree in their daily work and respond to emergencies.
