Quantitative analysis of near infrared spectra in apple sugar content based on MATLAB

MATLAB language is very popular for its excellent characteristics such as simple language, rich content and convenient program. In this study, MATLAB was used to perform processing data of near (infrared) diffuse reflectance quantitative analysis and the algorithms of principal components(PC) analysis were especially described. Two kinds of absorption peak with 1453, 1931, 2314 and 2353nm for one peak and 978,1198, 1732 and 1790nm for another peak were found through computing and program. The relationship between absorbance and sugar content was analyzed and a maximum correlation coefficient of -0.621 and a minimum correlation coefficient of -0.365 were found. This study will provide basis in method for on-line fruit interior quality inspection.
