Study on the Liquefied Natural Gas Cold Energy Used for Synthesis of Butyl Rubber

The influence factors of the usable LNG cold energy and the characteristics of the cold energy for synthesis of butyl rubber were discussed. The refrigeration schem about the liquefied natural gas cold energy used for synthesis of butyl rubber were introduced. The process were simulated and calculated. The results show it is an efficient method for the high grade liquefied natural gas cold energy recovery. The power consumption and water consumption of butyl rubber process can be greatly reduced. The economic benefit is very good.
