Audio haptic tools for navigation in non visual environments

Virtual haptic 3D environments for users that are blind or visually impaired hold great promise but also present significant challenges. A common problem is how to select and find objects, and thus different helping tools that assist the user during such tasks need further investigation. In this short paper a set of different such helping audio-haptic tool designs are described and evaluated within a memory game type environment.
