Analysis and optimization of numerical simulation of forced draft mechanical cooling tower

In view of the situation that less research has been done on forced draft mechanical cooling tower and no definite provision about its design can be found in current specifications,CFD technology was used to simulate and calculate the impact of tower row spacing,outlet air velocity,natural wind and surrounding buildings on recirculation rate of wet air.The calculation results showed that: the recirculation rate of wet air increased with the decrease of tower row spacing,and decreased with the increase of outlet air velocity;when the surrounding buildings were far away from the cooling tower,the layout of the tower row should be parallel to the leading wind direction,otherwise,the best layout direction should be determined through simulation calculation.
