Research on Electromagnetic Environmental Parameters Control Indexes of ±800 kV UHV DC Transmission Lines

UHV power transmission can save the line corridor effectively, and it is helpful to improve the grid construction and realizes resource optimization configuration in wide range when transmission line by long distance and high capacity is adopted. Based on actual status in China, the paper summarizes research achievements at home and abroad and discusses how to normalize the electromagnetic environment behavior of ± 800 kV UHV DC transmission lines. The electromagnetic environment parameters, such as total electric field, magnetic field, radio interference and audible noise, are researched and the control indexes of environment parameters are also provided. The control index for maximum ground total electric field strength under DC transmission lines is 30 kV/m, and that near the residences is 25 kV/m. For radio interference level, 58 dB(μV/m) at fine weather is regarded as the control index under 0.5 MHz, 20 m outside the projection of pole conductor. The control index for audio noise from line is L50=50 dB(A), and L50=45 dB (A) for dense population area.
