Galdar-Agaete seawater desalination plant construction and one year operational experience for the 3,500 m3/day R.O. plant

Abstract In order to meet the domestic water demand, the municipalities of Galdar and Agaete in Gran Canaria (Canary Islands) ordered to Cadagua, S.A. the construction and the operation during eight years of a desalination plant. This S.W.R.O. plant consists of two units of 1,750 m3/day each one, operating with Du-Pont B10-T permeators. The paper outlines the design, construction start-up, commissioning and one year operational experience.
