Building a cloud platform for education in microelectronics

In this paper, the system architecture and the realization process of a cloud based architecture for open education of microelectronics is presented. As participant of an Erasmus+ Project called MECA (MicroElectronics Cloud Alliance) BME has the aim to build and host one active node of a Europe wide cloud platform to support the education at the field of microelectronics. After building the cloud nodes at the installation sites at the partners the connection of actual nodes has to be done. This integration involves tasks as ensure a stable, highly available, secure connection with an adequate performance. This latter means that all the storing, migration of the resources among the nodes and also running of programs during on-line courses must be enabled by a scalable, complex hardwaresoftware system. The curriculum and its education method should also be adapted to a cloud based educational environment. The virtual environment like the virtual machines must be created and equipped with all the necessary software tools to support the education of more courses at the field of microelectronics.
