A secondary part of a linear motor and a cooling pipe of the secondary part are mounted at the middle part of a cross beam sliding seat; a primary part of the linear motor is mounted at the lower part of the secondary part; the cooling pipe of the primary part is mounted at the left lower part of the primary part of the linear motor; a tool post body is fixed at the lower part of the cross beam sliding seat, a ram is mounted at the middle and lower part of the tool post body, linear guide track components are arranged on the two sides of the ram, and sliding seats of the linear guide track components are fixedly linked with the tool post body; and a linkage body is mounted between the primary part of the linear motor and the ram, the upper end surface of the linkage body is fixedly linked with the primary part of the linear motor, the lower end surface of the linkage body is fixedly linked with the ram, and an optical grating ruler component is mounted at the middle part of the lower end surface of the ram. The high-speed tool post disclosed by the invention has the benefits that the high-speed tool post structure of the vertical machining center can greatly improve the fastest movement speed of the vertical tool post of the vertical machining center in the vertical direction of a Z-axis, greatly upgrade the using efficiency of a machine tool and the surface roughness quality of processed parts and greatly simplify the structural form of feeding transmission of the machine tool.
