Static Reanalysis: A Review

This paper reviews the methods of static reanalysis of structures and provides an update on the review written by Arora in 1976(8). With the advent of even less expensive computing and the introduction of optimization techniques to practical design problems, these methods are likely to become more important in the next few years.
