Software cleaning method and system

The invention provides a software cleaning method and system. The method comprises the following steps: identifying bundled softwares installed in a bundle according to prerecorded software behavior information, wherein the software behavior information is used for recording behaviors of a plurality of softwares; acquiring a cleaning request for bundled softwares, wherein the cleaning request comprises descriptive information of the bundled softwares; searching for descriptive information of related files of the bundled softwares in a preset software information base according to the descriptive information of the bundled softwares; and deleting the related files according to the descriptive information of the related files. The method and system can effectively identify the installed bundled softwares in a pegging mode and inform the user, so that the user can determine whether to clean the softwares.
