Muscipula Diaboli and medieval English Antifeminism

Du VIIIe au XIVe s., on rencontre en Angleterre le theme de la " muscipula diaboli " ou " piege du diable " applique a la femme par des clercs. On ne percoit pas le lien de cette application avec le sens de l'expression dans la tradition augustinienne, ou le " piege du diable " est la Croix du Christ dejouant les ruses du demon qui veut perdre les hommes
