Analysis on tower pendulum system's opening process in consideration of flexible features

A type of rocket launcher tower pendulum system occurs the phenomenon of uneven speed during its process of opening. In order to analyze the influence on its opening process by flexible features,Pro / E is used to establish the model of rocket launch tower pendulum system. With the use of ADAMS and Patran / Nastran,the rigid-body model and the flexible-body model was simulated. The impact of the flexible characteristics on the two main components of the flexible-body model( one is the spindle and the other is the horizontal pendulum) for its opening process was considered separately. The results showed that the flexible features of the tower pendulum system has some certain influences on its uneven opening speed,and its flexible components' influence on the pendulum system's vibration are quite different from each other,the impact of the spindle's flexibility is greater than the horizontal pendulum's.
