The invention relates to a method for quantitative determination of a multi-scale grassland covering degree by combining a digital camera and remote sensing data. The method comprises the following steps: (1) selection of sample grassland; (2) sample land layout; (3) shooting by a digital camera; vertically shooting the grassland downwards in the middle point of every 1m*1m sample square and obtaining a colored digital image; (4) judging of grassland covering degree: on the basis of observing pictures in detail, respectively selecting different surface feature zones on the pictures according to difference of color information of the grassland, and studying the mutual relationship of R, G and B of different surface features of the digital pictures by adopting a statistical method, and thereby structuring a judging model based on different surface features of the grassland, and calculating the grassland covering degree according to the judging model.
