This study investigates characteristic of ꡔOju Yunmun Jangjeon Sangoꡕ(It is told that this book shows us an aspect of Silhak in late Choseon dynasty), and one of the ways of learning done by Yi-Kyugyong(ꡔOju Yunmun Jangjeon Sangoꡕ's writer) in order to clarify atmosphere in some intelligent's communities in late Choseon dynasty. In the result of reaching this aim, the following was cleared : 1. It has been believed that there had been three kind of books written by Yi Kyu-gyong, ꡔOju Yunmun Jangjeon Sangoꡕ ꡔOju Seojongꡕ ꡔSiga Jeomdungꡕ. But according to ꡔOju Yunmun Jangjeon Sangoꡕ, there were twenty or more kind of books written by him. 2. Then how could he write these many books? In connection with this question, characteristic of ꡔOju Yunmun Jangjeon Sangoꡕ must be under consideration. In other words, this book was written lacking in writer's deep thinking, so it is almost the arrangement of series of data under specific subjects. Because of this, it might take him a relatively short term to finish such a thick book like ꡔOju Yunmun Jangjeon Sangoꡕ than we has expected. Moreover he might be able to write such many books in his life time. 3. In order to arrange an enormous amount of data, writers would rather 'have' books or data by himself than 'read' it. In the process of these arrangement, writers preferred 'copying' data. Copying made writers know contents of data. Furthermore it could make writers compile books. It is assumed that in those days copying was a good and desirable way of learning and regarded as such, and ꡔOju Yunmun Jangjeon Sangoꡕ was the result of Yi Kyu-gyong's learning, copying data.
