MATLAB/Simulink model of stand-alone Solar PV system with MPPT enabled optimized Power conditioning unit

This paper deals with modelling of a stand-alone solar PV system with MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) algorithm to enhance its efficiency for a dedicated load pattern. The Perturb & Observe (P&O) algorithm has been used to track the maximum power operating point of 80WP stand-alone Solar PV system. Here the DC-DC Boost converter has been designed as a Power conditioning unit for controlling the operating point of the PV source to achieve the MPP that enhances overall system efficiency.
