APP (application tool) classification method and mobile terminal

The embodiment of the invention provides an APP (application tool) classification method and a mobile terminal. The APP classification method provided by the invention comprises the following steps that the mobile terminal detects a first gesture operated when a user selects a first APP in a GUI (graphical user interface) of the mobile terminal; when an operation instruction corresponding to the first gesture is an application classification instruction, the mobile terminal enters an APP management interface according to the application classification instruction, and in addition, a second APP identical to the first APP type and the first APP are simultaneously added into a classification file folder. The embodiment of the invention solves the problems that in a mode for classifying the APP in the mobile terminal in the prior art, the classification can only be manually added by the user one by one, so the APP type distinguishing mainly depends on the subjective judgment of the user, and in addition, the classification process wastes time; the intelligentization and the flexibility for executing the APP classification operation are improved.
