An extensible AE&C database model

Abstract Database management technology can improve the quality and reduce the cost of process design and project management. This is accomplished by letting the computer handle the rote work of translating and transmitting data between programs. Engineers concentrate on the quality of the underlying design. This paper partially addresses the issue of how chemical engineering programs go about using a database.
